What a whirlwind of a week! Black Hat was an outstanding success! It was so great to see the community again and just as sad to see everyone go home at week's end.

Black Hat would like to extend a hearty round of thanks to the hackers, researchers, journalists, governmental officials, authors, professors, and general troublemakers that made up this year's presenters. Without their massive efforts and support of the security community, Black Hat would cease to exist.

The content this year was clearly in a league of its own. There was so much great stuff it was physically impossible to see it all. Malware certainly a much discussed topic, and luckily we were able to get a two of the presenters on a webcast and present their findings for you.

First, Black Hat will look at malware's role and effect on social movements with Morgan Marquis-Boire's CuteCats.exe and the Arab Spring. Listen to this important joint venture of the EFF and Citizen Lab.

Then we take a technical deepdive with Jonathan Brossard and learn that Hardware Backdooring is Practical with a little piece of PoC software called "Rakshasa".
