John Bambenek is the Threat Systems Manager at Washington D.C.-based Fidelis Cybersecurity. John has been actively researching network security threats for nearly 20 years. He is a published author of several articles, and a technical reference book for systems administrators and security developers. He has participated in several incident investigations across the globe and contributed to the takedown and disruption of criminal entities and operations, including 2014's Operation Tovar, an international investigation into a botnet used to commit bank fraud and distribute ransomware.
